Louisville is a town that enjoys artists, talent, music, and food– and the festival lineup for the summer is evidence of that!
Poorcastle is in its fifth year, and is hosted at Apocalypse Brew Works from July 7th-9th, and features all-local music, beer, vendors, art, and more! The full schedule is here, and the funds from this Louisville Proud event support the Louisville Leopard Percussionists, Crescent Hill Radio, MERF, and AMPED. Tickets are $10 for a three day pass– and the city unfolds for a slew of after-show events late into each evening.
From July 14-16, Forecastle takes the city for its fifteenth year. Headliners from around the country come to Louisville’s Waterfront. The lineup includes performers like Cage the Elephant, Sturgill Simpson, Teddy Abrams (Louisville Orchestra), Quiet Hollers (Louisville Natives), Weezer, Spoon, and more– click here to search for your favorites and create your own schedule. Additionally, the festival supports the Forecastle Foundation, which aims to find and protect twelve of the most ecologically diverse yet endangered areas on the planet– so far they’ve identified five. Tickets are already on their level two pricing, and go up in cost the longer you wait to grab them!
Bourbon & Beyond wraps up the warm weather, gracing Louisville for its first year on September 23rd & 24th. Music, chefs, parties, and of course–bourbon– will take the stage. Musicians include Stevie Nicks, Eddie Vedder, Amos Lee, Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr, G Love, ZZ Ward, and more. Tom Colicchio, Edward Lee, Anthony Falco, Dean Corbett, and more will feed the festival as featured chefs, and parties and secret speakeasies will cover Champion’s Park at the Waterfront. Camping & lodging packages available, and tickets are on sale now.
